ALABAMA — A man has been arrested following an investigation into illegal drug sales allegedly involving high school students, according to the Shelby County Drug Enforcement Task Force.
Investigators executed two search warrants on Friday, June 20, at the residence of Anfernee Richardson in the Chelsea/Inverness area.
The investigation was initiated after information was provided by the Shelby County Patrol Division.
During the search, authorities say they seized approximately 8.5 pounds of marijuana, five grams of oxycodone, and a firearm. Drug paraphernalia was also found at the scene.
Richardson was arrested and charged with two counts of drug trafficking and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was later released from the Shelby County Jail on a $101,000 bond.
The investigation is ongoing.
