
ALABAMA — A Cullman woman was arrested Saturday on 25 charges related to forged prescriptions and drug trafficking, authorities said.
The Cullman Police Department said it learned on August 5 that multiple forged prescriptions had been written and filled at local pharmacies. The prescriptions included various medications, including controlled narcotics.
Investigators obtained a search warrant for Infusion Wellness and Spa, where key evidence was collected Monday. Arrest warrants were issued Friday for 33-year-old Whitney LeAnn Cheatham, who turned herself in to police around 10:15 a.m. Saturday.
Cheatham faces 25 charges, including three counts of drug trafficking, one count of criminal conspiracy to commit drug trafficking, one count of attempted drug trafficking, six counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, one count of attempted unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, one count of criminal conspiracy to unlawfully distribute controlled substances, one count of practicing medicine without a license, and 11 counts of fourth-degree forgery.
Cullman police said additional charges and arrests may be announced as the investigation continues.
