
SOUTH CAROLINA — The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) reported the arrest of 55-year-old Eric Peoples for operating an illegal gambling house.
Authorities said that on September 24, SLED and the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at Peoples’ residence in Anderson. Officials seized 10 illegal Pot-O-Gold gambling machines during the search.
Following an interview, Peoples reportedly admitted to running the gambling operation for approximately 1½ years.
Peoples was charged with operating a gaming house and operating slot, video, or gambling devices. He was arrested and taken to the Anderson County Detention Center. The case will be prosecuted by the 10th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
