KENTUCKY — A Floyd County man was arrested on multiple drug-related charges following a traffic stop in Magoffin County, according to deputies.
Authorities said the stop occurred on KY Route 378 after deputies noticed a 2011 Nissan Versa with a damaged and non-working driver-side taillight.
According to an arrest citation, the driver, identified as 44-year-old Jackie Bailey of Harold, appeared nervous and gave unclear answers when questioned by deputies. Both Bailey and his passenger were asked to exit the vehicle, and deputies then requested permission to search it.
During the search, deputies reported finding a black magnetic box under the driver’s seat containing glass pipes, rolling papers, digital scales and multiple baggies. Investigators also said they located a clear baggie containing approximately three grams of suspected methamphetamine.
Bailey was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, first degree, first offense (two grams or more of methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia and improper equipment.
Deputies said Bailey was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
The case remains under investigation.
