SOUTH CAROLINA — A Pickens County gas station employee has been accused of stealing lottery tickets and cashing them in for money, according to state investigators.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) launched an investigation at the request of the South Carolina Education Lottery.
Arrest warrants allege that in July, the suspect, identified as Seawright, stole lottery tickets while working at a Stop-A-Minute store. Investigators say he redeemed the stolen tickets for cash at that location and another nearby store.
Seawright was arrested and booked into the Pickens County Detention Center.
The investigation is ongoing.
