OHIO — A suspect is in custody after two separate stabbings in north Columbus early Friday, according to police.
The Columbus Division of Police said officers first responded shortly after midnight to the 6900 block of Lancaster Lane on a report of a stabbing. They found a victim inside a vehicle with multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and later upgraded to stable condition.
Less than three hours later, police were called to the 6000 block of Crossgate Place for another stabbing. Officers said the victim in that incident was also taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital, where their condition was reported as stable.
The suspect fled both scenes but was later located by officers on Cleveland Avenue. Police said they believe the two stabbings are connected to the same individual.
