One person arrested following storage lot theft in North Carolina

NORTH CAROLINA — A 39-year-old Atlantic Beach man was arrested Friday following a larceny at a storage lot on Broad Creek Road, the Craven County Sheriff’s Office said.

Officials said the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Patrol Bureau investigated the incident and identified James Rodney Purser IV as the suspect.

Purser faces multiple felony charges, including breaking and entering, obtaining property by false pretense, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, and possession of stolen property. He was also charged with driving while his license was revoked.

He is currently being held at the Craven County Confinement Facility.
