OHIO — Moundsville man was arrested Friday afternoon following a pursuit involving a stolen vehicle that began in Wellsburg and ended in Brilliant, Ohio.
According to Wellsburg Police Chief Michael Allman, officers responded to a call around 3:30 p.m. reporting a stolen vehicle on Charles Street.
Both Wellsburg Police and the Brooke County Sheriff’s Department were given a description of the vehicle.
A Brooke County deputy later spotted the vehicle crossing the Brilliant Bridge into Ohio.
After a brief pursuit, the vehicle came to a stop near Hill and Cleaver streets in Brilliant.
The suspect, identified as Bryon Keith Pyles of Moundsville, was taken into custody by the Wells Township Police Department for offenses committed in Ohio.
Pyles also faces charges in West Virginia, including vehicle theft and driving on a suspended license.
