OHIO — An almost seven-hour standoff ended with a suspect in custody early Wednesday morning.
Lorain police said officers responded to a home in the 1200 block of West 18th Street just before 10 p.m. Tuesday.
Authorities said the man barricaded himself inside the home, prompting a lengthy standoff with police that lasted until around 4:20 a.m. Wednesday.
According to investigators, the suspect, James Pinkerton, was eventually found hiding in his garage.
Pinkerton was arrested and is facing charges of having weapons while under disability, discharging firearms, and obstructing.
Police said one handgun was recovered during the incident.
Pinkerton is currently being held in the Lorain City Jail.
