VIRGINIA — Roanoke Police arrested a suspect Wednesday evening in connection with a stabbing on Rutrough Road SE.
Officers were dispatched shortly before 9 p.m. to the 1700 block of Rutrough Road SE following reports of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, police found a woman with slash wounds. A suspect was located and taken into custody, authorities said.
Police said the incident began as an altercation between two women, during which a man intervened with a knife and injured one of the women. The victim’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The names of the victim and suspect have not been released. The investigation is ongoing.
