VIRGINIA — A woman has been arrested following a shooting that left one man injured early Wednesday morning in the Cascade area of Pittsylvania County.
According to the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to a residence on Cascade Mill Road around 6:15 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.
When they arrived, they found a man inside the home suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where he is currently listed in stable condition.
Authorities quickly identified a suspect and arrested 37-year-old Catherine Revel in connection with the shooting. She has been charged with Aggravated Malicious Wounding.
The sheriff’s office says additional charges are pending as the investigation continues.
