OKLAHOMA — A teenager has been arrested after multiple shots were fired at a west Tulsa apartment complex Thursday evening, according to the Tulsa Police Department.

Officers responded around 6:20 p.m. to the Sandy Park Apartments near West 11th Street and 61st West Avenue following several reports of gunfire. When officers arrived, witnesses were at the scene, but the teens involved had already fled.

Investigators found several shell casings from three different firearms and determined that multiple shots had been fired into several apartment units. No injuries were reported.

Police said a 17-year-old boy was the intended target of a group of three other teens.

Officers later located one of the suspected shooters, a 16-year-old boy, walking nearby. He was found with a loaded pistol and taken into custody.

The teen was transported to the Community Intervention Center and faces charges including assault with a deadly weapon, 10 counts of shooting into an occupied dwelling, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and minor in possession of a firearm.

Police said the investigation remains ongoing and additional arrests are possible. Anyone with information is asked to contact Tulsa Crime Stoppers.
