
NORTH CAROLINA — A man is facing multiple charges after a juvenile was injured in a shooting Wednesday evening, the Winston-Salem Police Department reports.
Authorities said the incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. in the area of East Sprague Street. Officers found a minor with a gunshot wound to the arm, who was transported to a local hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
Through their investigation, police identified 53-year-old Willie Edgar Williams as a suspect. He was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. A judge set Williams’ bond at $150,000.
