OHIO — Police arrested a man after he allegedly fired a gun inside an apartment building on Scott Street NE in Warren, Ohio.
Officers responded to a call about gunfire in the hallway of an apartment building in the 300 block of Scott Street NE.
A witness directed police to a resident, identifying him as having a “sawed-off shotgun and a pistol,” according to reports.
During their search, officers found a shotgun shell wad near the front door, which appeared to have been shot.
They entered the suspect’s apartment and found William Ramos, 30, in the shower with a woman.
Ramos reportedly told police that he and the woman had been arguing, throwing food at each other, and then got into the shower.
A search of the apartment led officers to a sawed-off shotgun hidden under a dresser, live ammunition in the closet, and a spent shell casing still inside the firearm, according to police reports.
Ramos was arrested and charged with discharging a firearm into a habitation and aggravated menacing.
He was arraigned Monday, where a judge ordered him to surrender all firearms pending the investigation. Ramos is scheduled to return to court on March 4.
