OHIO — A 51-year-old man has been arrested after police said he fired multiple shots during a road rage incident Thursday morning in Centerville.
The shooting occurred shortly after 7 a.m. off WestPark Road, according to the Centerville Police Department. Officers arrested Christopher Tesarz, who is charged with felonious assault and discharging a firearm. He remained in the Montgomery County Jail as of Friday afternoon.
Court records show Tesarz’s bond was set at $250,000, with electronic home monitoring required if he is released.
Police said three shots were fired — two struck the victim’s truck, and one hit a nearby business. No injuries were reported.
Both drivers called 911 to report the incident. The victim told dispatchers, “This guy was doing 10 miles an hour, so I went to go around him, and then he wouldn’t let me pass, and then followed me into my work and then fired shots at me.”
Tesarz also called 911, telling dispatchers, “I just had somebody try to run me over, and I fired shots at him.” He said the other driver attempted to pass him in a school zone and then “put his truck in reverse and tried to hit me,” prompting him to fire two shots.
The case remains under investigation by Centerville police.
