OHIO — A 25-year-old woman is facing multiple charges after leading an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper on what officials described as a “very slow and short pursuit” early Tuesday morning.

Camaya Wiley of Mason was booked into the Warren County Jail around 4 a.m. on charges of fleeing and eluding, obstructing official business, and speeding.

She is scheduled to make her first court appearance at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Mason Municipal Court.

According to Sgt. Tyler S. Ross, an Ohio State Highway Patrol spokesperson, a trooper monitoring speeds on Interstate 71 near the Kings Mills Road exit spotted Wiley driving a 2024 Nissan Altima at 88 mph in a 65 mph zone.

The trooper initiated a traffic stop and directed Wiley off the highway to a nearby BP gas station.

During the stop, Wiley approached the trooper and said she needed to use the restroom and was leaving.

Despite repeated verbal commands warning her not to leave and that fleeing would result in additional charges, Wiley drove away from the scene.

Troopers say Wiley fled west along Kings Mills Road for about a mile before stopping near Mason Grand Drive and Skyview Drive, where she resides.

She allegedly refused to follow further commands and attempted to walk into her home before being taken into custody.

In addition to criminal charges, Wiley was cited for speeding. The incident remains under investigation.
