OHIO — One person has been taken into custody following a police pursuit Friday evening that began in Portage County and ended in Mahoning County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
A representative from the OSHP Canfield Post said troopers were called around 5 p.m. to assist the OSHP Portage Post with an active pursuit. Several law enforcement agencies responded to the incident.
Authorities said the chase concluded along Tippecanoe Road near Leffingwell Road in Boardman Township. As of 5:40 p.m., one suspect had been taken into custody.
It remains unclear how long the pursuit lasted in total. Troopers reported no crashes in connection with the chase.
The identity of the suspect has not yet been released. The incident remains under investigation.
