MICHIGAN — The Berrien County Prosecutor’s Office is pursuing charges against a man accused of leading police on a chase that crossed state lines into Indiana before returning to southwest Michigan.

Authorities said 37-year-old Christian Jackson was arrested by the Chikaming Township Police following a pursuit in December. Police said the chase began in Berrien County, continued across the Indiana state line, and then returned into Michigan, where Jackson was ultimately taken into custody.

Officials have not released details about where Jackson is from or how the chase initially began.

Jackson is facing charges of fleeing and eluding police in the fourth degree, as well as operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license. The case remains pending in Berrien County.
