One person arrested following multiple thefts in Ohio

OHIO — A Thurman man was arrested Saturday morning following a series of overnight thefts in Springfield Township, according to the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say Austin Wayne McQuiad, 25, was taken into custody without incident after authorities responded to multiple reports of stolen items from local businesses.

Following an investigation, a search warrant was executed, and deputies recovered several stolen items, which have since been returned to the victims.

McQuiad has been charged with theft, with additional charges expected as the investigation continues.
