TENNESSEE — A Brentwood man is facing multiple charges after leading deputies on a high-speed motorcycle pursuit Sunday evening, authorities said.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported deputies were patrolling the intersection of West State of Franklin Road and University Parkway around 6 p.m. when they observed a red sport bike traveling at a high rate of speed.
The motorcycle reportedly nearly collided with another vehicle and ran a red light before turning onto Jack Vest Drive. Deputies canceled the pursuit due to heavy traffic.
Shortly afterward, deputies found the motorcycle had crashed at the roundabout on Jack Vest Drive. The driver, identified as 23-year-old John Michael Clark, was checked by EMS and cleared of serious injury before being taken to the Washington County Detention Center.
Clark was charged with reckless endangerment, evading arrest, reckless driving, running a red light, and speeding. Bond was set at $11,000, which he posted.
