MISSISSIPPI — A 34-year-old man has been arrested on multiple drug charges following a narcotics investigation in Tupelo, according to the Mississippi Department of Public Safety.

Agents with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics executed a search warrant at a residence on March 18 as part of an investigation into methamphetamine trafficking. Authorities identified the suspect as Christopher Clay Beckwith.

Beckwith faces several charges, including aggravated trafficking of methamphetamine, trafficking of cocaine, and multiple counts of possession with intent to sell or deliver various controlled substances. These include hallucinogens, synthetic stimulants, and MDMA, commonly known as ecstasy.

During the search, agents reported seizing approximately 603.2 grams of methamphetamine and 30.7 grams of cocaine. Investigators also recovered about 21 grams of MDMA, 2 grams of ketamine, and multiple dosage units of alprazolam, commonly known as Xanax, along with other unidentified pills and substances.

In addition to drugs, authorities said they found two ledger books, two digital scales, and $1,360 in cash believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol and the Department of Public Safety’s Interdiction Unit assisted in the investigation.
