OHIO — A 22-year-old Ohio woman is in custody after a trespassing complaint escalated into a high-speed chase early Sunday morning.
Brooklin Gelbaugh, of Findlay, was arrested and booked into the Hancock County Jail on charges including failure to comply with an officer.
Findlay police responded to a home on Tappan Avenue just before 4 a.m. after reports that Gelbaugh was on the property despite a prior trespass warning.
Before officers arrived, she had already left, but police soon spotted her vehicle and attempted a traffic stop.
Instead of pulling over, Gelbaugh sped off, leading officers on a pursuit through Findlay and onto Interstate 75, reaching speeds over 130 mph.
Due to the dangerous speeds, Findlay police ended the chase, but Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers later located her and detained her until Findlay officers arrived to make the arrest.
Gelbaugh now faces additional charges of criminal trespassing and criminal damaging related to the initial incident.
