INDIANA — A man was arrested early Saturday after a fight in a parking lot on the city’s east side, according to Evansville police.
Officers responded to the parking lot of KC’s Time Out Lounge on Washington Square, where they found about 20 to 30 people gathered watching a fight.
Police said they saw 31-year-old Trezhaun Smith kick another man in the face twice. Officers ordered Smith to stop, but he ran from the scene.
Police chased Smith and located him along Monroe Avenue, where he was taken into custody.
Smith told officers the fight started after the other man had previously tried to run him over with a vehicle and then got out of the car.
The victim suffered head injuries but was unable to provide police with details about the altercation.
Smith was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail on charges of battery and resisting law enforcement.
