TEXAS — A 33-year-old Arizona gang member was arrested Wednesday night in Downtown Dallas after police say he was caught selling drugs.
Officers with the Downtown Task Force were on foot patrol around 9 p.m. on North Lamar Street when they observed Dencel Idris conducting a drug sale.
According to police, Idris attempted to flee but was tased and taken into custody.
Authorities say Idris was found carrying about 26 grams of cocaine at the time of his arrest.
Further investigation revealed that Idris is wanted on multiple felony warrants in Arizona and is a documented gang member.
Idris faces charges including evading arrest or detention and manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance. He is currently held at the Dallas County Jail with bonds totaling $80,000.
