WISCONSIN — A 49-year-old Oshkosh woman was arrested Tuesday after police stopped a suspicious vehicle near a local daycare and found drugs inside, authorities said.
Winneconne police said three people were in the car — a 66-year-old man, a 57-year-old woman, and the 49-year-old — and all admitted to recent drug use. Officers learned that one occupant was on probation, and the 49-year-old woman gave false identification and had three outstanding arrest warrants.
A Winnebago County sheriff’s K9 and deputy helped locate crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
Police said the three told officers they had just left a drug house in Oshkosh and were headed to an assisted-living facility in Winneconne to get money to buy more drugs.
Authorities are requesting charges of possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing an officer, and bail jumping. Winneconne police also said they are working to ensure the safety of the assisted-living resident involved.
