VIRGINIA — A Bassett man was arrested Sunday in connection with drug activity at a residence in Henry County, authorities said.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office identified the suspect as 31-year-old Roberto Gomez Telles of 100 Woody Circle.
Deputies executed a search warrant at 1210 Tahoe Drive around 1:39 p.m., following a spike in overdose incidents at the address over the previous 24 hours and reports of heavy foot and vehicle traffic.
Multiple people were inside the residence and were detained while deputies conducted the search. Authorities said they found suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and other evidence consistent with narcotics use.
Telles was arrested and charged with possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance under Virginia law. He was taken to the Henry County Adult Detention Center and held without bond.
