VIRGINIA — A month-long drug investigation that began in Culpeper County has led to the arrest of a 25-year-old man from Albemarle County.
According to the Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office, Kajuan Omary Stinnie was arrested after investigators executed a search warrant at a residence on the 200 block of Saponi Lane.
Stinnie attempted to flee on foot but was taken into custody following a brief chase.
He is charged with possession with intent to distribute, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance while in possession of a firearm.
Authorities say they seized a significant amount of drugs and weapons during the search, including 211 grams of marijuana, 270 grams of suspected pressed fentanyl, three pounds of a suspected fentanyl and acetaminophen mix, seven grams of suspected cocaine, and 65 grams of suspected raw fentanyl.
They also recovered a Draco 308 pistol, a Glock 9mm pistol, a hand pill press, blenders, and U.S. currency.
The operation was conducted in cooperation with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Blue Ridge Narcotics and Gang Task Force.
Stinnie is scheduled to appear in court in Albemarle County on June 12.
