
VIRGINIA — A 37-year-old Evington man has been arrested following a narcotics investigation in Campbell County, according to the sheriff’s office.
Darron Smith was taken into custody Friday after the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office Crime Suppression Unit executed a search warrant as part of the investigation.
Authorities said investigators seized a quantity of suspected fentanyl and/or heroin during the search.
Smith is charged with possession with intent to distribute, third or subsequent offense, as well as four counts of child abuse and neglect.
He is currently being held without bond at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail.
