TEXAS — A 19-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after federal and local authorities seized drugs, cash, a firearm and a vehicle during a search warrant operation on the city’s northwest side.
According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, deputies assisted the FBI San Antonio Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force in executing federal warrants at a residence.
During the search, investigators reported finding narcotics, U.S. currency and other contraband inside the home. Authorities identified 19-year-old Jouhuan Torres at the residence and said he was in direct possession of the illegal drugs.
Officials said deputies recovered approximately 220 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 174 grams of THC vape cartridges, a shotgun and $23,735 in cash. Torres’ vehicle was also seized as part of the ongoing investigation.
Torres was taken into custody and transported to the Bexar County Adult Detention Center. He faces two felony charges of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance.
