One person arrested following drug bust in Tennessee

TENNESSEE — A man was arrested Thursday following a major drug bust in Gallatin, where authorities seized large quantities of illegal narcotics, vehicles, and cash, according to the Gallatin Police Department.

Police executed a search warrant on May 1 at a residence on North Electra Street.

During the search, detectives recovered approximately 20 pounds of methamphetamine, four pounds of marijuana, two pounds of cocaine, two vehicles, and more than $1,000 in cash.

Edt Martell Winford, identified as the primary suspect in the case, was arrested at the scene.

He is currently being held at the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office and faces multiple charges, including:

  • Manufacture, delivery, sale, or possession of methamphetamine
  • Possession of a Schedule II drug for resale
  • Possession of a Schedule VI drug for resale
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

“The Gallatin Police Department remains committed to combating illegal drug trafficking and protecting the safety and well-being of our citizens,” the department said in a statement.
