One person arrested following drug bust in Tennessee

TENNESSEE — A Tennessee man was arrested after authorities discovered methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia during an investigation in Lawrence County, according to the Loretto Police Department.

Officials said investigators recovered approximately 88.28 grams of methamphetamine, 26.11 grams of hydroponic marijuana, drug paraphernalia and $2,171 in cash.

The discovery led to the arrest of Michael Barrett on March 12.

Police said Barrett was located at a property on Rascaltown Road, where he was found to be trespassing. He was taken into custody and booked into the Lawrence County Jail.

Barrett is charged with possession of methamphetamine for resale, possession of marijuana for resale and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Loretto Police Department said Constable Randy Tucker and the St. Joseph Police Department assisted with the investigation.
