SOUTH CAROLINA — The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office announced the seizure of multiple firearms, drugs, and body armor following a narcotics search warrant executed Friday, August 22, 2025.
According to a press release, the JCSO Narcotics Enforcement Team, with assistance from the Tactical Response Team and the Hardeeville Police Department Criminal Investigations Division, searched a home on Hickory Street in Ridgeland.
Officials said the Special Response Team was deployed due to the presence of weapons, narcotics, and the criminal history of the suspect.
Deputies identified the suspect as 36-year-old Juan Marquise Clarke of Ridgeland, who now faces multiple felony charges. Items seized included an AR-style rifle, a .30-06 rifle, four handguns, body armor, fentanyl, MDMA, and additional narcotics. Authorities also confiscated $645 in cash, three jars of THC wax, and home surveillance equipment.
Clarke is charged with two counts of possession of a stolen pistol, five counts of possession of a weapon by a convicted person, five counts of possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, possession of a machine gun, trafficking MDMA, trafficking fentanyl, possession of Schedule II narcotics, and possession of marijuana.
He was taken into custody following the raid, and the investigation remains ongoing.
