SOUTH CAROLINA — A Loris man is facing multiple narcotics trafficking charges following a police chase and crash in Horry County, according to authorities.

Rodney Crayshawn Gore, 31, was arrested after an attempted traffic stop for a tag violation led to a brief pursuit in the Green Sea area of Horry County, according to a police report.

An officer with the Horry County Police Department reported that on Feb. 17, 2025, he attempted to stop a silver Mustang driven by Gore along Sandy Bluff Road and Green Sea Road. Authorities said the vehicle failed to stop for blue lights and sirens.

The pursuit ended when the vehicle crashed near the intersection of Little Bethel Road and Bertie Road. After the crash, the driver allegedly fled the scene on foot.

According to the report, officers located a large quantity of suspected narcotics during the incident. The substances were collected and turned in as evidence.

Gore has been charged with failure to stop for blue light, possession of Schedule I, II, III or Flunitrazepam or analogue with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana 28 grams or less, trafficking in fentanyl, and trafficking methamphetamine or cocaine base of 10 grams or more.

Authorities said Gore is being held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on a $100,500 bond.

The case remains under investigation.
