
SOUTH CAROLINA — A man was arrested Friday following a two-year narcotics distribution investigation conducted by the Scotland County Sheriff’s Office, officials said.
According to investigators, Scotland County’s narcotics unit and emergency response team executed a search warrant at a residence located at 211 East Covington Street in the Washington Park area of Laurinburg. During the search, deputies recovered approximately 752 grams of suspected pure cocaine.
Authorities estimated the street value of the seized cocaine to be between $48,000 and $62,000.
Officials said the arrest is part of an ongoing investigation that has spanned approximately two years. The investigation remains active, and law enforcement officials indicated that additional arrests are expected as the case continues.
