SOUTH CAROLINA — A man was arrested Monday morning after deputies discovered methamphetamine and a fake urine sample during a traffic stop in Oconee County.

Deputies conducting a warrant service near Westminster noticed a beige Nissan Frontier pickup occupied by a driver and two passengers, none of whom were wearing seat belts.

One passenger was reportedly sitting on top of another inside the vehicle. The truck parked on Sarah Drive near Clearmont Road, where deputies made contact with the occupants.

During the stop, deputies spotted a clear baggie inside the vehicle, which led to a search uncovering eight grams of marijuana, 19.6 grams of methamphetamine, and a fake urine sample.

The driver, 38-year-old William Ed Orr of Tamassee, was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of adulterants intended to defeat a drug or alcohol test. He was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center with a combined $38,000 surety bond for the drug-related charges.

Orr also received citations for simple possession of marijuana and a seatbelt violation, for which he was given a $615 personal recognizance bond.
