PENNSYLVANIA — A Sharon man is facing 55 drug-related charges following a probation search at a home earlier this week.

According to court records, 19-year-old Ty’erre Smith was charged Tuesday, Feb. 10, after a search at a home on the 1000 block of George Street Extension.

Smith faces a total of 55 counts, including 27 counts of possession of a controlled substance and 28 counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

A criminal complaint states that when officers arrived at the home, a probation agent led them to the basement, where Smith was found handcuffed on the floor. Police reported finding a bag containing a rocky white substance and loose white powder at the edge of a bed, along with a digital scale.

Officers also found a live bullet on the bed. According to the complaint, Smith is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition because he is currently on probation.

A full search of the home allegedly uncovered a bag of suspected cocaine, 26 assorted bags used for cannabis packaging — most with suspected marijuana residue and others with white powder residue — a digital scale, a Glock slide back plate, a box of Blazer ammunition and assorted rifle and pistol ammunition.

Smith was arraigned Tuesday and is scheduled to return to court Feb. 20 for a preliminary hearing.
