OHIO — A Bellefontaine man was arrested Thursday after police responded to a disturbance at his home and discovered drug-related items.
According to the Bellefontaine Police Department, officers were called to a residence where 32-year-old Ronald Kosiek was reportedly acting strangely and causing damage.
Upon arrival, officers found Kosiek unconscious in a bedroom, but he quickly regained consciousness.
Kosiek complained of stomach pain and denied drug use.
However, officers later found a spoon with drug residue and a syringe cap in a nearby bathroom.
Authorities discovered that Kosiek was on probation, and after contacting the Adult Parole Authority, officers were instructed to arrest him.
Medics checked Kosiek at the scene before he was taken into custody.
While in the police vehicle, officers observed Kosiek pull an item from his pants, which was later found to be a syringe.
At that point, Kosiek admitted to using heroin.
He was transported to the Logan County Jail and is facing charges of illegal use and possession of drug abuse instruments.
