OHIO — A three-month investigation in Findlay resulted in one arrest and the seizure of suspected narcotics, the Hancock METRICH Drug Task Force announced Monday.

According to a press release, officers carried out a traffic stop and executed a narcotic search warrant around 7 p.m. on Nov. 14. The search warrant targeted an apartment unit in the 900 block of Heatherview Court and was issued as part of the ongoing investigation.

During the search, officers recovered suspected heroin, $2,380 in cash, drug paraphernalia, a vehicle, and “multiple items indicative of drug trafficking,” the task force said.

Officers arrested 33-year-old Jaylen McCoy, whose address matched the apartment where the search was conducted.

McCoy was booked into the Hancock County Justice Center and charged with second-degree felony possession of drugs, as well as an OVI. Investigators said additional charges related to drug trafficking and possession are expected once the investigation is complete.
