OHIO — A routine traffic stop on Saturday afternoon led to the arrest of a Marion man on multiple drug-related charges.

According to authorities, Officer Conner initiated the stop near the intersection of Marion Road and West Kilbourne Drive around 4:30 p.m.

During the encounter, the officer observed signs of possible illicit activity and requested assistance from K-9 Capone, a trained narcotics dog. The dog alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.

The passenger, 40-year-old Michael D. Fisher, was found with a used crack cocaine pipe and five Alprazolam pills, which he admitted he did not have a prescription for. Fisher was taken into custody and transported to the Crawford County Justice Center.

Upon arrival at the detention facility, authorities discovered Fisher had concealed two bags containing suspected heroin and crack cocaine on his person.

Fisher now faces multiple charges, including Possession of Schedule I or II Drugs (Felony 5), Illegal Conveyance into a Detention Facility (Felony 3), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Misdemeanor 4). The investigation remains ongoing.
