One person arrested following drug bust in Ohio

OHIO — A routine traffic stop in Champaign County led to the discovery of illegal drugs and evidence of trafficking, according to the Mechanicsburg Police Department.

The incident occurred on July 12, when Lt. Robert McConnell pulled over a speeding vehicle.

During the stop, he found that the driver did not have a valid license and had multiple prior convictions.

An inventory of the vehicle prior to impoundment uncovered 16 grams of cocaine, 45 grams of marijuana, packaging materials, a digital scale, and cash—items police say are clear indicators of drug trafficking.

The suspect was taken into custody, and all contraband was seized.
