OHIO — A 43-year-old man was arrested on drug charges following a search of his home in Mercer County, according to Sheriff Doug Timmerman.
On Wednesday, sheriff’s deputies and members of the Grand Lake Drug Task Force conducted an interdiction detail across the county.
During the operation, authorities made eight traffic stops, issuing five citations and five warnings.
During one of the stops, deputies obtained information that led them to secure a search warrant for a residence in the 8000 block of Weitz Road in Hopewell Township.
It is unclear what specific information prompted the search.
Inside the home, authorities discovered multiple drugs and drug paraphernalia.
The resident, Jeremiah Williams, 43, was arrested and booked into the Mercer County Jail on a preliminary charge of possession of methamphetamine.
The investigation is ongoing.
