OHIO — A coordinated law enforcement operation led to the arrest of a Warren man early Tuesday morning on numerous drug-related charges and a domestic violence accusation.
Darius Priest, 33, was taken into custody after a search was conducted at a home located at 1545 Tod Ave. NW around 7:13 a.m.
The operation was carried out by the Warren Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit, the Warren Tactical Entry Team, and the Trumbull Action Group.
During the search, officers recovered approximately 3.8 ounces of suspected illegal drugs, including crack cocaine, cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl, according to the Warren Police Department. Investigators also seized drug paraphernalia and a 9mm handgun from the residence.
Priest was booked into the Trumbull County Jail. Authorities say additional charges are pending as they await lab results from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
In addition to the items found during Tuesday’s search, Priest was also arrested on 14 previously filed secret indictmentsfrom the Trumbull County Common Pleas Court. Those charges include allegations of selling fentanyl compounds, cocaine, and heroin, as well as possession of cocaine.
The investigation is ongoing.
