NORTH CAROLINA — A La Grange man is facing drug trafficking charges following a traffic stop in Kinston on Tuesday afternoon.
According to police, 22-year-old Broadus Bratton Jr. was pulled over by Kinston police officers at approximately 3:50 p.m. on Rouse Road near Carey Road.
During the stop, officers reported finding a pill bottle containing hydrocodone pills without a valid prescription. As a result, Bratton was taken into custody.
Authorities charged Bratton with two counts of trafficking opium/heroin. He was transported to the Lenoir County Jail, where he is being held under a $500,000 secured bond.
