NORTH CAROLINA — A Salvo man was arrested Saturday night after a traffic stop led to the discovery of drugs and a firearm, according to the Dare County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies assigned to the B-District stopped a vehicle traveling northbound on N.C. Highway 12 around 11:00 p.m. for a driving violation.
During the stop, deputies established probable cause to search the vehicle.
The search uncovered an undisclosed amount of cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and a loaded handgun.
The driver, identified as Cody D. Creech, 32, was arrested and charged with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine (PWISD), felony maintaining a dwelling, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon.
Creech was issued a $4,000 secured bond.
The Dare County Sheriff’s Office emphasized its ongoing commitment to public safety and encouraged residents to report information related to illegal substances or criminal activity.
