NEW YORK — A 49-year-old North East man was arrested on Sunday, May 4, after deputies allegedly discovered fentanyl and crack cocaine during a traffic stop, according to the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force.
Michael Jarvis was pulled over for a minor traffic infraction, and deputies reported finding more than 150 bags of fentanyl and over an ounce of crack cocaine, both allegedly packaged for sale.
The arrest followed an investigation sparked by a tip about suspected drug activity near Cooper Road in the Town of North East.
Jarvis was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree with intent to sell, and one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree based on weight — all class B felonies.
He was arraigned in the Town of North East Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail.
