MISSOURI — A Tipton woman was arrested Monday following a drug search conducted by multiple law enforcement agencies.
The Moniteau County Sheriff’s Office, Missouri State Highway Patrol, and Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence in Tipton, where they detained 57-year-old Betty Lou Lindsey.
According to authorities, Lindsey initially denied having any drugs on the property but later claimed methamphetamine was inside a jewelry box belonging to someone else.
Deputies reported that no drugs were found in the box.
A search of Lindsey’s bedroom uncovered several plastic bags, a digital scale, a blue pouch containing white powder, $270 in cash, four baggies with a white substance, and glass pipes with white residue.
Additional items, including $101 in cash, a black pouch with white residue, and a baggie of a crystal-like substance, were found in Lindsey’s vehicle.
Field tests confirmed the presence of methamphetamine, deputies said.
Lindsey was charged with Delivering a Controlled Substance and booked into the Moniteau County Jail. Her bond was set at $50,000.
