MISSOURI — A Cooper County woman is facing multiple charges after law enforcement officers allegedly discovered drugs during a traffic stop Monday night in Saline County.

According to court documents, a Sweet Springs police officer conducted a traffic stop on a GMC truck around 9:20 p.m. on March 23. The driver, identified as Shelby Geromini, was reportedly nervous and fidgety during the stop.

When the officer asked Geromini to step out of the vehicle, a glass pipe was seen sticking out from the front waistband of her pants. Authorities said the pipe contained a white powder residue that tested positive for methamphetamine.

Investigators said that during her arrest, Geromini dropped a purple lid containing additional meth. A search of her vehicle allegedly uncovered a variety of items, including eight large dried mushrooms, fentanyl test strips, a digital scale, marijuana, and multiple containers holding capsules and pills. Authorities said Geromini claimed the capsules contained “kratom,” which she said she manufactured herself.

Court documents also state that Geromini admitted she attempted to swallow bags of methamphetamine during her arrest.

Geromini was booked into the Saline County Jail and is being held on a $7,500 bond.

Prosecutors have charged her with possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
