MISSISSIPPI — A man is in custody on multiple charges, including drug trafficking, following a traffic stop on Interstate 59, according to the Jones County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputy Trey Pittman stopped 44-year-old Jajuan Husband on Saturday, July 26, for careless driving.
During the stop, Pittman discovered MDMA pills—commonly known as ecstasy or molly—on Husband’s person and requested assistance from the JCSD Narcotics Division.
Narcotics Agent Chase Smith conducted a further search of the vehicle and found additional MDMA pills and marijuana.
Husband was arrested and charged with trafficking MDMA, possession of marijuana, driving on a suspended license, and careless driving. He is currently being held at the Jones County Jail.
Husband is scheduled to appear in Jones County Justice Court on Monday, July 28, at 1 p.m.
