
LOUISIANA — A Lake Charles man is facing multiple charges after investigators seized drugs, a stolen vehicle and fraudulent documents during a search of his home, authorities said.
According to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, 38-year-old Jarvis Reynaud was arrested on March 30 by detectives with the Combined Anti-Drug Task Force on suspicion of distributing drugs in Calcasieu Parish.
Investigators later executed a search warrant at Reynaud’s residence on Prater Street, where they reported finding 91 grams of marijuana, 14 grams of crack cocaine, more than 12 grams of powder cocaine and over 28 grams of methamphetamine.
Deputies also recovered drug paraphernalia, a firearm reported stolen through the sheriff’s office, and a Ram pickup truck reported stolen by the Lake Charles Police Department.
Authorities said they also seized numerous fraudulent Louisiana temporary license plates and pre-dated vehicle inspection stickers.
Reynaud was booked into the Calcasieu Parish Jail on multiple charges, including possession of Schedule I and II drugs with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm in the presence of drugs, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, illegal possession of stolen items, forgery of a motor vehicle inspection certificate, money laundering, possession of drug paraphernalia and registration violations.
His bond was set at $604,100.
