KENTUCKY — The Bowling Green–Warren County Drug Task Force arrested 36-year-old Taza D. Hays on drug trafficking charges following a recent investigation.
During surveillance, agents observed Hays make three separate covert cocaine sales.
This evidence was presented to a Warren County Grand Jury, which returned an indictment.
On July 3, DTF detectives and Kentucky State Police troopers executed the indictment at Hays’ home on Nutwood Street in Bowling Green. He was taken into custody without incident.
A search warrant was also carried out at the residence, where investigators found additional cocaine—some of which Hays allegedly attempted to flush down the toilet—as well as marijuana, LSD, and pills.
Hays was booked into Warren County Jail on charges of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree (Cocaine). He is currently out on bond awaiting arraignment.
Authorities say more charges may be filed as the investigation continues.
